Mary Ann Larsen
was the daughter of Anna Maria Danielsen and Andreas
Larsen who were married on 29 June 1893. Her mother was
the daughter of Niels and Hanna (née Andersen) Danielsen;
and her father was the son of Lars and Anna Katrina (née
Olsen) Nielsen. The children of Andreas and Anna Maria
were as follows: Hanne Catherine (b. 26 April 1894),
Anna Marie (b. 25 May 1895), Mary Ann (b. 9 August 1897
at Loganlea), Agnes Emilie (b. 6 April 1899), Dorothea
Jessie Olgar (b. 29 June 1902), Harold Andreas (b. 4
March 1908 three days after the tragic death of his
maternal grandmother; bur. Toowong, 9 January 1985),
Doris Adeline Norma (b. 24 September 1911).
Mary Ann lived for less than three weeks and died at
Main Street, Kangaroo Point, on 27 August 1897. She was
laid to rest in the Cooper’s Plains Cemetery on the
following day. The burial was certified by her father
and officially witnessed by W Bruce and A Larsen.
Andreas Larsen
died at the age of 78 on 6 June 1947 and was buried on
the following day in the South Brisbane Cemetery (O
353).
Anna Maria Larsen
died at the age of 82 on 30 October 1958 and was laid to
rest in the same plot as her husband two days later. For
